Last updated: 4 November 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ebn Host Limited (“Ebn Host”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit our websites, including www.ebnhost.com and our client area at billing.ebnhost.com, or use our hosting, server, domain and related services (the “Services”).

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service. By using our website or Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information you give us

  • Account and order details: when you register or place an order in our client area, we collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, company name (if any) and the details of the services you order.
  • Identity verification (KYC): where required by our Terms of Service or by law, we collect information and documents needed to verify your identity.
  • Domain registration details: when you register or transfer a domain, we collect the registrant, administrative and technical contact details required by the domain registry.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment gateway partners. We receive confirmation of your payment and limited transaction details (such as the amount, date and transaction number). We do not store your full card details on our servers.
  • Messages to us: when you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the department you choose, the subject and your message. When you open a support ticket, call us, email us or message us on WhatsApp, we keep a record of that conversation.

B. Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like most websites, our web servers automatically record technical information for each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of the request.
  • Service usage: for the Services you use, our systems record technical data such as resource usage (CPU, memory, disk and bandwidth), login activity and security events, so that we can operate the Services and enforce our resource and abuse policies.
  • Analytics and advertising data: our public website uses tools from Google and Meta that collect information about your visit, such as your IP address, device and browser, the pages you view, how you arrived, and actions such as clicks, scrolling and form use. They may also collect information you enter into forms on the website. See section 3.
  • Browser notifications: if you allow notifications, we store your browser’s push subscription address and keys and your browser and device type, so that we can send them to you. We also count how many notifications are shown and clicked.
  • Live chat: if you use the chat on our website, we receive the messages and any details you send there.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account, and to provide, renew and support the Services you order.
  • To process payments, issue invoices and keep accounting records.
  • To register, renew and transfer domain names on your behalf.
  • To verify your identity and prevent fraud, abuse, spam and other illegal activity.
  • To answer your questions and support requests.
  • To send you service-related messages, such as invoices, payment and renewal reminders, suspension notices and important updates, as described in the Communication Policy of our Terms of Service.
  • To keep our website, servers and network secure, and to monitor and improve their performance.
  • To understand how visitors use our website, and to measure and improve our marketing and advertising, including on Google and Meta services.
  • To send browser notifications about offers and news, if you have allowed them.
  • To comply with our legal obligations and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal information. The analytics and advertising tools we use are described in section 3.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our public website uses cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising tools from other companies.

A. Analytics and advertising

  • Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics: help us understand how visitors find and use our website. Google Tag Manager loads these tools, and may be used to add or change them. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, and can automatically measure actions such as page views, scrolling, outbound clicks, downloads and form use.
  • Meta Pixel: helps us measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and may be used to show ads to people who have visited our website. Meta uses cookies and similar technologies, and may connect this information to your Meta account.
  • Information entered in forms: these tools may collect information you enter into forms on our website, such as your email address or phone number, for measurement and advertising.

Google and Meta handle this information under their own terms and privacy policies: see the Google Privacy Policy and the Meta Privacy Policy. They may process it outside Bangladesh.

B. Needed for the website to work

  • Session cookie on the contact page: keeps the contact form secure and limits how many messages can be sent in a short time. It is deleted when you close your browser.
  • Offer bar setting: if you close the offer bar at the top of the website, your browser remembers this choice in its local storage, so the bar stays hidden. This information never leaves your device.
  • Notification settings: your browser’s local storage remembers whether you allowed or dismissed our notification prompt, so we do not keep asking.
  • Live chat: the chat on our website is loaded from chat.datascom.com and may store information in your browser so that your conversation can continue.
  • Client area cookies: our client area uses cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to protect your account.

C. Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website or client area may then stop working correctly.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage Google ads in your Google ad settings.
  • You can manage the ads you see from Meta in your Meta ad preferences.
  • You can turn off browser notifications at any time in your browser’s site settings.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share personal information with:

  • Domain registries and registrars: to register and manage your domains, we must pass your contact details to the relevant registry. Some registries publish certain registration details in public WHOIS databases, according to their own rules.
  • Payment gateways and banks: to process your payments and refunds.
  • Software and license providers: when you buy a license (for example cPanel, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, Softaculous or Webuzo), we share the details the provider needs to issue and manage it.
  • Analytics and advertising providers: Google and Meta receive information through the tools described in section 3.
  • Notification services: browser notifications are delivered through your browser’s push service, such as those run by Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft.
  • Communication providers: we use email providers to deliver our messages and the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta to send and receive WhatsApp messages, as described in the WhatsApp Policy of our Terms of Service.
  • Authorities: when required by the laws of Bangladesh, a court order or another lawful request, or when necessary to investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents, or to protect the rights and safety of Ebn Host, our customers or others.
  • A successor business: if Ebn Host is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Except for Google and Meta, which handle information under their own terms as described in section 3, the companies we share information with may use it only for the purpose it was shared for.

5. Data Hosted on Our Servers

The websites, files, emails, databases and other content you store on our Services belong to you. We do not access, use or disclose that content, except when needed to provide technical support you request, to keep our servers secure (for example malware scanning and spam filtering), to investigate a violation of our Terms of Service, or when required by law.

If your website collects personal information from your own visitors or customers, you are responsible for that information and for publishing your own privacy policy. Backups are handled as described in the Backup Policy of our Terms of Service; you remain responsible for keeping your own copies of your data.

6. Data Retention

  • We keep account, billing and service records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as needed for accounting, tax, legal and dispute-resolution purposes.
  • Contact form messages, support tickets and other correspondence are kept as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of our support.
  • Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting, and are then deleted.
  • Analytics and advertising data held by Google and Meta is kept according to their own policies and the settings of our accounts with them.
  • Browser notification subscriptions are kept until you turn notifications off or the subscription stops working.
  • Website data stored on our servers is deleted after your service is terminated, as described in our Terms of Service.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted HTTPS connections on our website and client area.
  • Firewalls, malware scanning and monitoring on our servers.
  • Access to personal information limited to staff who need it for their work.

No method of storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your passwords private, use a strong unique password for your client area, and tell us immediately if you notice any unauthorized use of your account.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct or update your information. Most account details can be updated directly in our client area.
  • Ask us to delete your personal information, where we are not required to keep it for legal, accounting or security reasons.
  • Close your account by canceling your services, as described in our Terms of Service.
  • Limit analytics, advertising and browser notifications using the choices in section 3.

To make a request, open a support ticket from your client area or email us at support@ebnhost.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request. Service-related messages (such as invoices and suspension notices) are part of providing the Services and cannot be turned off while your services are active.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Websites

Our website contains links to other websites, such as Google Maps for our office locations and the websites of software providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. Please read their privacy policies before giving them any personal information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or through a notice on our website. Continuing to use our website or Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
